Quick Chat With Mark A. Williams

by Allen J. Sheinman | May 01, 2014

Mark A. Williams is founder and president of GoldSpring Consulting (, a Winston-Salem, N.C.-based corporate travel consultancy.

What is the biggest challenge for companies trying to implement a comprehensive travel program?
Getting senior-executive buy-in. Not having that gives travel managers less of a market share to bring to the table when negotiating with suppliers. It must be made clear to people at C-level that a solid program will boost the bottom line without affecting how people fly or what level of hotel they stay in. It just makes good business sense!
